A series of paintings contemplating the empty feeling of hotel spaces - supposedly aspirational, instagrammable, with arty industrial modern finish, smart designer casual. An array of lounge spaces furnished in generic mid-century Modern plus neutrals, classic Chesterfield armchairs, velvet pouffes and footstools. Dining suites feature luxuriant indoor plants, opulent bouquets, brocade cushions which seem to hover as if by magic. Lighting shafts and exposed pipework add industrial atmosphere, ready and expectant, hoping to welcome new visitors.
